Come Aboard
SLIP RENTAL CRITERIATo lease a slip at Esprit Marina, please provide all the information and documentation listed below.
No vessel may enter the marina unless a slip rental application and all necessary documents have been submitted and approved by the Marina Manager in advance. Liveaboard vessels are not permitted.
To ensure your application is processed in a timely manner, please submit all the required forms, fees, deposits, and documentation together at one time. All original documents will be copied and returned to the applicant.
The conditions of the boat will be reviewed. Upon approval, the Marina Manager will contact you for the following required documentation:
- A copy of a valid driver’s license or another valid government-issued picture ID
- A copy of a U.S. Coast Guard documentation or the California Registration/CF number
- Proof of current insurance
- Proof of income
- Payment
- Slip application fee ($50 per application)
- Slip reservation deposit ($500 per vessel)

Payable by credit card or check at the time each application form is submitted. Must be paid separately from the reservation deposit.
Slip Reservation Deposit: $500 per Vessel
Payable by credit card or check at the time each application is approved. This amount will be credited toward the first month’s slip fees upon application approval. The deposit will be fully refunded if an application is rejected. A full refund will also be made if requested within 24 hours of payment, but after this time, the amount will be forfeited to the marina if an applicant chooses not to proceed.
Understanding Your Fees
We want to make it easy for you to plan ahead. Below is a list of standard and special fees, which are accurate as shown but are subject to change.
At the discretion of the marina manager, any vessel – especially those five years or older – may require completion of a current marine survey report. These reports must include details of the general condition, seaworthiness, and operational ability of the vessel. Only a currently licensed marine surveyor is to be used for this purpose.
The vessel’s appearance must exhibit excellent care and pride of ownership in relation to its cosmetic condition and maintenance, and continue to meet these standards throughout its time berthed in the Esprit marina.
Prior to a vessel’s arrival in the marina at Esprit Marina del Rey, please submit evidence of insurance listing “E&S Ring Management, Esprit One LLC, and the County of Los Angeles” as additionally insured. A minimum Hull Protection and Indemnity Coverage of $500,000 is required. No vessel will be permitted to berth in the marina without the above insurance. Evidence of insurance for all associated tenders, dinghies, and other craft must likewise be submitted.
